Your Web Review

4.9 on Google, trusted by 100s of service businesses

Find out why your website isn't bringing you work

I'll go through your website and the rest of your online presence, record a video talking you through what's working and what isn't, and tell you the three things I'd fix first. It's free, and there's no big sales pitch at the end.

No website yet? Put your business name instead.

Free, and there's no big sales pitch at the end. It takes about a minute to fill in.

It's hard to see what's wrong with your own website.

You're too close to it. You built it, or paid someone who's since disappeared, and you've looked at it so many times you can't see it any more.

Sound familiar?

  • You'd rather not hand out your web address.
  • The phone's quieter than it should be, and you can't tell if the website is helping or not.
  • You know you should be posting on social, but you never get round to it.
  • You've paid for bits and pieces over the years that don't talk to each other.
  • You're not 100% sure the enquiry form on your site even works.

That's rarely about effort. More often than not it's the order things were done in, and the order is fixable once someone shows you where to start.

Here's what lands in your inbox.

A 27-point run through your whole online presence, explained in a video by me, with the three things I'd fix first. Everything's in plain English.

27 points, checked by me

A few of the checks, as examples

Your website

  • Can a stranger tell what you do, and where, in five seconds?
  • Is your phone number easy to find on a phone?
  • Does the enquiry form actually reach you?

Your Google profile

  • Is it complete, with the right category and services?
  • Are the photos recent and your own?

Your reviews

  • Are new ones still coming in, and do you reply?

Your socials

  • Do they look alive, and send people back to you?

The 27-point check

Your website, your Google profile, your reviews and your socials. It's the same checklist I use for paying clients, and I go through it by hand.

A video of me going through it

I record my screen and talk you through what's working, what's leaking and why, just like I'd explain it if I was sat next to you.

Example

Fix these first, in this order

  1. 1. Put your phone number at the top of every page
  2. 2. Fix the contact form so enquiries reach you
  3. 3. Ask your last ten customers for a Google review

The three things I'd fix first

A short written list, in order, so you know exactly where to start. Fix them with me, with someone else, or yourself on a Sunday afternoon.

Three steps, and you only do the first one.

  1. Step 1: You fill in the form

Your name, your website and a few lines about your business. It takes about a minute.

  2. Step 2: I go through it properly

Your website, your Google profile, your reviews and your socials, against the same 27 points every time.

  3. Step 3: Your video lands in your inbox

Within 2 to 3 working days, with the three things I'd fix first. If I'm snowed under, I'll tell you when to expect it.

More about me

What people say once they've had theirs.

“Jamie claims to “know a thing or two” about websites. This is a MASSIVE understatement. He did an interactive video going through my website page by page, explaining where I'd gone wrong, where I'd gone right and where I can improve. Everything he suggested was 100% accurate and straight to the point - no beating around the bush.”
Ves C. VC Graphics, graphic design & print shop
“It was great to have fresh eyes on my site. He really helped me see that my messaging wasn't as clear as it should be, with advice on my CTAs, freebie download, site speed and SEO. I'd definitely recommend!”
Vickie Battersby Cake Club+, web review client
“Super helpful. By simplifying our message and clarifying our main offering, we have confidence that we can give potential customers an easy on-ramp so we can serve them better.”

Why would I do this for free?

Because it's the best way I know to show you what I'm like. You get to see how I think, how I explain things and whether I actually know my stuff, all before you spend a penny.

If the review helps, you'll remember me when you're ready. If it doesn't, I didn't deserve the work anyway.

The review does end with one offer, for anyone who wants me to map out the lot. You're welcome to ignore it.

(It's also this website doing exactly what I tell clients their websites should do, be genuinely useful first, sell second.)

Fair questions.

Is it really free? What's the catch?

Really free, no catch. I'd rather start by being useful than by selling. Some people become clients, some fix things themselves, and some come back a year later. I'm happy with all three.

Is this just an automated report?

No. I go through your site myself and record a video. An automated report tells you your meta descriptions are 12 pixels too long. I'll tell you why your phone isn't ringing.

How long does it take?

You'll usually have your review within two to three working days. If I'm snowed under, I'll tell you when to expect it.

Will you try to sell me a website?

Only if you genuinely need one, and I'll tell you straight if you don't. Sometimes the answer is 'your site's fine, it's your Google profile that needs the work'.

What if I don't have a website yet?

That's fine. Put your business name in the website box, and I'll look at the rest of your online presence (your Google profile, socials and directories) and tell you what to build first. Starting from scratch, in the right order, is actually a good place to be.

What happens after the review?

That's up to you. Fix the three things with me, with someone else, or yourself on a Sunday afternoon. If you'd like me to map out the lot, Your Marketing Plan is where we start. It's £495 + VAT, and that comes off any build you go ahead with.

Stop guessing what's wrong with your website.

You could leave it another year and keep wondering why the phone's quiet. Or spend a minute on the form, and know exactly what to fix first, in order, in plain English.
